beyond the crowds: discipleship that lasts

Leadership Development Conference

Teaching principles to inspire, encourage and equip youth leaders and teenagers in this generation for the long haul.

What is the LDC?

The Leadership Development Conference is organised together with churches and youth groups across a region, creating a dynamic and impactful experience for everyone involved.

In the Gospels we find a fascinating example of the leadership of Jesus, our supreme leader. Jesus led a group of young people and transformed their lives so they could later impact the lives of many others. The LDC is a great opportunity to reflect on the leadership of Jesus and build a youth ministry focused on developing disciple-makers.

Our belief

We believe that as youth leaders build their spiritual lives on lasting resources, they will begin to impact the lives of those they lead, so we all can be “rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness” (Colossians 2:7).

The LDC runs in regions including Hastings, Northern Rivers and Sydney. Dates, venues and tickets are listed on our events site.

what leaders say

Testimonies

I’ve been to the LDC three times now. They have all been super beneficial and helpful for many different reasons. It brought different perspectives and insights on different aspects of leadership. It was also extremely beneficial to meet fellow Christians with similar goals. Also, it allowed my church leaders to come together and help us be on the same page about what we want to see and need to do with our leadership.

Jonah Jeitani, Grace Way Church

Word of Life’s work and passion for youth ministry gives glory to God and serves as a tremendous inspiration and encouragement to me. The LDC event is something I look forward to every year… The message of urgency and the challenge to be faithful in proclaiming the Gospel is clear during these events, offering all of us a vital wake-up call to prioritise reaching out to the unsaved. It’s an ever-changing world in terms of culture and technological advancements among the youth, but the problem of sin remains the same, and the Good News of Jesus is constant and never-changing: it has the power to save!
